The Fern and the Bamboo

One day I decided to quit...I quit my job, my relationship, my
spirituality.... I wanted to quit my life. I went to the woods to
have one last talk with God.

"God", I said. "Can you give me one good reason not to quit?"

His answer surprised me.

"Look around", He said. "Do you see the fern and the bamboo?"

"Yes", I replied.

"When I planted the fern and the bamboo seeds, I took very good
care of them. I gave them light. I gave them water. The fern quickly grew
from the earth. Its brilliant green covered the floor. Yet nothing came
from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

In the second year the fern grew more vibrant and plentiful. And
again, nothing came from the bamboo seed. But I did not quit on the bamboo.

"In year three there was still nothing from the bamboo seed. But I
would not quit. The same in year four.

"Then in the fifth year, a tiny sprout emerged from the earth.
Compared to the fern, it was seemingly small and insignificant.

But just six months later, the bamboo rose to over 100 feet tall.
It had spent the five years growing roots. Those roots made it strong and
gave it what it needed to survive. I would not give any of my creations a
challenge it could not handle.

"Did you know, my child, that all this time you have been
struggling, you have actually been growing roots? I would not quit on the
bamboo. I will never quit on you.

"Don't compare yourself to others." He said. "The bamboo had a
different purpose than the fern. Yet they both make the forest beautiful.

"Your time will come", God said to me. "You will rise high"

"How high should I rise?" I asked.

"How high will the bamboo rise?" He asked in return.

"As high as it can?" I questioned

"Yes." He said, "Give me glory by rising as high as you can."

I left the forest, realizing that God will never give up on me. And
He will never give up on you.

Never regret a day in your life.

Good days give you happiness; bad days give you experiences; both
are essential to life.

The Missing Rib

A girl in love asked her boyfriend: "Tell me, who do you love most in this world?"

"You, of course!"

"In your heart, what am I to you?"

The boy thought for a moment and looked intently in her eyes and said, "You are my rib. In the Bible, it was said that God saw that Adam was lonely. During his sleep, God took one of Adam's rib and created Eve. Every man has been searching for his missing rib. Only when you find the woman of your life will you no longer feel the lingering ache in your heart."

After their wedding, the couple had a sweet and happy life for a while. However, the youthful couple began to drift apart due to the busy schedule of life and the never-ending worries of daily problems. Their life became mundane. All the challenges posed by the harsh realities of life began to gnaw away at their dreams and love for each other. The couple began to have more quarrels, and each quarrel became more heated.

One day, after a quarrel, the girl ran out of the house. At the opposite side of the road, she shouted, "You don't love me!" The boy hated her childishness, and out of impulse retorted, "Maybe it was a mistake for us to be together! You were never my missing rib!"

Suddenly, she turned quiet and stood there for a long while. He regretted what he said, but words spoken are like thrown away water -- you can never take them back. With tears, she went home to pack her things and was determined on breaking up.

Before she left the house, the girl said, "If I'm really not your missing rib, then please let me go." She continued, "It is less painful this way. Let us go on our separate ways and search for our own partners."

Five years went by. He never remarried but he had tried to find out about her life indirectly. She had left the country and came back. She had married a foreigner and divorced. He felt anguished that she never waited for him. In the dark and lonely night, he lit his cigarette and felt the lingering ache in his heart. He couldn't bring himself to admit that he was missing her.

One day they finally met -- at the airport -- a place where there were many reunions and good-byes. He was going away on a business trip. She was standing there alone, with just the security door separating them. She smiled at him gently.

(b): "How are you?"

(g): "I'm fine. How about you. Have you found your missing rib?"

(b): "No."

(g): "I'll be flying to New York on the next flight."

(b): "I'll be back in 2 weeks time."

(g): "Give me a call when you get back. You know my number. Nothing has changed." With a smile, she turned around and waved good-bye.

One week later, he heard of her death. She had perished in New York -- in the event that shocked the world.

Midnight. Once again, he lit his cigarette. And like before, he felt the lingering ache in his heart. He finally knew that she was the missing rib that he had so carelessly broken.

Sometimes people say things out of moments of fury. Most often than not, the outcome could be disastrous and detrimental. We vent our frustrations 99% at our loved ones. And even though we know that we ought to "think twice and act wisely," it's often easier said than done.

Things happen each day, many of which are beyond our control. Let us treasure every moment and everyone in our lives. Tomorrow may never come. Give and accept what you have today.

Tips on how to wake up early in the morning

“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise” – Ben Franklin

Walking up early means getting to see the Sunshine and getting Vitamin D, so what are you waiting for don't miss the one of the greatest feats of nature, the rise of the Sun.

Here are some tips that will surely wake you up to see the Sun..

Use an Alarm Clock & Put it far away from your bed

Having an alarm clock is not the main point since you'll just probably hit the snooze button & go back to sleep. What you have to do  is to set your alarm clock far away from your bed, far in a sense that you have to jump out of bed just to turn off the alarm. By the time you shut off the alarm, you are already Up! You just have to stay awake.

Go to Bed Early & Turn Off the Lights

What better way to wake up early is by sleeping early. Instead of constantly staying up past midnight and feeling tired the next morning why not start preparing for bed before midnight. Start by turning off the lights still will set your mood to sleeping. If you’re the type of person who read books before going to bed use a reading lamp instead of lighting the whole room. Since your focus will be on this book you will eventually feel sleepy with dimmed lights.

Get Enough Sleep
If you already have enough sleep for the day you will surely have reason to wake up. Getting enough  sleep is more likely 6 to 8 hours of sleep every day. Add also a glass of warm milk before bedtime If you feel overly tired during the day, your body is telling you something.. You’re not getting enough sleep! . And its not worthwhile trying to get up.

Make Love
Enjoy a little morning make-out time to start your day. It's nice  to wake up in your lover's arms and to be awakened by his kisses. To have him spoon his body against yours' and caress you all over. Kiss your neck and whisper, “I want you."  There's no better way  to wake up other than this.

My Life Lessons...

1.     Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good :-)

2.     Every day brings a new chance to start over.
3.     It is in the enjoyment of life's simple pleasures that we find life's greatest joys
4.     Life is a succession of lessons which must be lived to be understood.
5.     It's not what you have in your life, but whom you have in your life that counts.
6.     It takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
7.     You cannot make someone love you.  All you can do is be someone who can be loved.  The rest is up to them.
8.     I’ve learned that you can keep going long after you can’t.
9.      I've learned that only dead fish go with the flow that's why you  have to be true to your self.
10.    I've learned to believe that true love will come at the right time if you dont settle and give up on it  and it will be worth the waiting.
